Instructions to authors
Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that the work has not been published before and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts are peer reviewed. Bibliotheca Herpetologica (formerly the International Society for the History and Bibliography of Herpetology Newsletter and Bulletin) is submitted to BIOSIS (U.K.) for inclusion in Zoological Record.
The language of Bibliotheca Herpetologica is English. British English or American English spelling and terminology may be used, but either one should be used consistently throughout the article. Consult the latest issue of Bibliotheca Herpetologica for article format. The Editor reserves the right to adjust style to maintain uniformity.
Manuscripts should be submitted to the Editor in electronic form. However, you should contact the Editor first for advice. Color illustrations other than used for the cover will be at the author's expense. Illustrations should also be submitted in electronic form, but consult with the Managing Editor first. The ISHBH cannot take responsibility for material sent by post.
